I know Rhoda was the star of the show, but do you think perhaps more people enjoyed watching the antics of Brenda more because she became what Rhoda was on the Mary Tyler Moore Show?

Brenda was the one I like seeing the most, and whenever I get a hankering to watch the show, it's usually Brenda who's the draw. I also found her cute---way more-so than her sis.

I think Rhoda and Brenda were equal draw to viewers

True. They were both draws to viewers. But, for me personally, the draw is Brenda. Brenda is who I really want to see. As far as I'm concerned, Brenda should be the star and Rhoda, the co-star.

The only character I didn't care for was Rhoda's father. Added nothing to the show at all

So do I. They were a great sister team. :D

I liked all the characters. I think Rhoda was a true ensemble at least until David Groh and Nancy Walker left.

Sorry, I preferred Valerie Harper over Julie Kavner. They are both funny ladies though.:)
