remarks get her in trouble with OTHER people?

I'm not altogether sure the writers knew what to do with the character of Sophia and at times I felt sorry for the actress. Just as Rose's St. Olaf stories got stale so Sophia's sicilian anecdotes became irritating, her going to the dog track seemed to be a stock storyline along with the biting remarks which is the subject of this thread.

I dont know but some of Sophia's lines are classic.

I don't know if it's the funniest.....but it's the most outrageous:

Sophia: (referring to being in possession of the Pope's ring)" "This could be my chance at getting into the Bible!"

Dorothy: "Ma! The Bible's a done deal!" :lol: :lol:

Dorothy to Blanche: "How long did you wait to have sex after George died?"
Sophia: "Until the Paramedics came."
Dorothy: "Ma."
