Well, I'm bummed out. I so did not want to have to post this thread.

A while ago I was supposed to trade a box of DVDs to "AdjustTracking" for his copy of the rare 1984 NBC Saturday Morning Preview. As a lot of you might know, I have spent the last half a decade collecting these rare gems and have the largest collection of them anywhere. At first, everything seemed to be going smooth. He was emailing me updates on the trade and I was stoked to get this. But about a month ago, he simply fell off the face of the planet. I have sent a LOT of emails (all very polite and understanding) but have gotten no response.

I really dont want to say he ripped me off. I am hoping that he has simply been delayed by something important (an accident or he lost the internet or anything that could explain the email silence). I still really want this video (even if it is just a copy of the VHS tape). In fact I would forgive and forget even if he was ripping me off but had a change of heart and sent it to me anyway (no questions asked). But for now, I can only assume that I have been burned. :(

For anyone out there who has any of these Saturday Morning Previews and may have missed my previous messages, here is a copy of my original post.

Hi everyone. For the last few years I have been trying to collect all of the old Saturday Morning Preview Specials that they used to air to promote the new fall line up. I am contacting collectors of old video footage to see if they have any Saturday Morning Preview specials on VHS or DVD. If you have any I would love to trade with you. I currently have many but I am looking for more. If you have any of these If you do not see anything you want from my list to trade, I would be very happy to work out some other arrangement. It is my dream to someday have a complete set of all these great shows before they are gone forever. Also, if anyone can point me to a third party who has any I do not already have, I will be more than happy to send them some DVDs as a thank you for helping me track these down.

I am also a graphic designer and I have created high quality custom covers for all the DVDs I trade. These would make a great addition to anyone's collection.

I'm also expecting DVD's from him, I last heard back from him at the end of September.

He did not strike me as the type of person to rip someone off. I have talked with other collectors who say they got packages from him but have not received emails in a while. I am still really hoping it is just a simple mix up or that he is having some kind of issue that is preventing him from contacting us. I was sick once and when I got back to work (I work from home), I found that someone had hacked my email. It took me a long time to get everything straightened out. There are really a million different things that could be holding him up and I am going to keep my fingers crossed that everything will work out in the end. But if you or anyone else hears from him, could you let me know? Thank you for posting and I will let everyone know if I hear anything too. :)

I decided I'd take a look at the guy's site, just to see when he'd last updated in case he'd been around since, and his website now gives a Not Found message. Don't know if that means anything or not but I thought I'd mention it. Here's the link to his site-

Me too. But like I said before, there really are a ton of good reasons that he could have fallen off the face of the planet. Some one could have died, he could be deathly ill or any other number of things. He seemed like a very fair and decent trader. He even contacted me to let me know that he was having a little trouble converting the VHS to DVD. I dont think he is burning anyone on purpose. Lets just hope that he comes back and fixes all this. If he does, I will let everyone know and I will sing his praises. Lets keep our collective fingers crossed.

I wouldn't post his entire address, but rather the city and state would be prudent.

come to think of it, i did think it was a little odd that he told me to send to Adjust Tracking Video c/o Chris, without giving me his last name.

Just a quick update. A fellow collector contacted me. He lives near AdjustTracking and is going to help me investigate the matter. If he can get me the DVD (or even a vhs copy) I am going to send him a big box of LOTs of DVDs. I am still really hoping that Adjust Tracking will get back to me. I would still give him rave reviews if he got this DVD to me. I would even send him another box of DVDs (no questions asked). If he really had problems getting the VHS transfered on to DVD (Thats the last thing he told me before dropping off the face of the planet) then I would be happy if he sent me the original VHS. Then I would transfer it to DVD and send him back the original VHS and a copy of the DVD format. I just REALLY want to get this video. It seems like AdjustTracking is the only person that has this.

Again, if ANYONE else has any Saturday morning Preview Specials that I dont have, I would be happy to trade a BIG box of DVDS (all with custom covers) for it. Thanks again guys.

PS. I am also looking for episodes of Barbary Coast, Fall Preview Specials, The Amazing Sea Monkeys and Space Cats. :)

Thought I would let everyone know that I just got an email from adjusttracking and he is going to send the package. :)

He writes:

"Hey James, sorry for the confusion here. I forgot my login to the sitcoms site and have been having some personal issues. I actually have the package you sent still sitting un-open in my office. Ill see what I can do to get a vhs copy made for you over the weekend."

So as soon as it arrives I will be singing his praise. I completely understand how personal matters can taker priority over something like DVD trading. I do not hold any ill feeling towards him at all about the delay. There have been plenty of times in my life where trading dvds was the least of my priorities. So, if all goes well I should have it soon. :) I am so so happy to add this one to my Saturday Morning Preview Collection.
