In one of the "Celebrity Jeopardy!" spoofs on Saturday Night Live one of the clues was to name a theme song, and the theme to Batman played. Tom Cruise thought it was M*A*S*H. Here's a transcript from an SNL fan site: http://snltranscripts.jt.org/98/98djeopardy.phtml (It's also somewhere on YouTube, as well! It's the 10/24/98 episode.)

The reason I think the writers read Growing Up Brady is because in Robert Reed's letter to Sherwood Schwartz and crew regarding the finale, he asked them to imagine being in the M*A*S*H operating room, and suddenly Batman appeared! I am referring to the GUB chapter "Calling The Kettle Black", and the part of the letter is on page 117. I'm thinking the writers remembered that letter from the man we all know as Mike Brady!

I remember reading about the Batman analogy in "Growing Up Brady". I think that there is a pretty good chance that this is where the creators of "SNL" got the idea from!
