I haven't seen this segment in forever. Michael Ziegler was a kid whose finger was cut off in a door jamb.

His mother is a nurse and was present when the accident occurred. Even though she believes that this method works, I can't believe a trained nurse would delay medical treatment so she could take the time to wave her hands around her son's injury site.

That was my concern as well. The placebo and hypnotic effect TT likely has on the patient likely makes it useful, to a degree, but not in lieu of regular medical treatment.
