I just rented this book out from the library. There is a chapter in there on sugar. Here is an interesting paragraph:

" It is hard to believe that we could eat so much sugar in a day, but sugar is hidden in many foods besides the sugar bowl. It can be found in thousands of foods including: soft drinks, candy, baked goods, toothpastes, cereals, lipstick etc. If you read the labels on foods you will be surprised at the foods that contain one form of sugar or another."
Okay, I know some of the items listed are no brainers, but sugar IN TOOTHPASTE? That defeats the whole purpose of cleaning teeth. I bet there is sugar in mouthwash also. I remember once when I dropped some toothpaste on the floor and I forgot to clean it up. When I went back to the spot later, ants were swarming it. I also remember once posting on here about hand lotion. It has alcohol in it. Alcohol dries the skin, so it defeats the whole purpose.
