I really noticed it in Season 7. She either wears a turtleneck or a scarf wrapped around her neck. I just wondered if she had some kind of scar or something.

Probably to hide her wrinkled neck.

I hadn't noticed that, but even on the pics on the DVD boxes she's covering her neck in most of them...however, the pic on the S7 box shows it, and it looks quite normal. Of course that could be a pic from a previous season.

You know what, I'm a big-picture guy, and whatever she was wearing looked great (love the outfit on the S6 box), and if she was trying to hide some perceived flaw, that's kind of a universal thing. She always has been, and continues to be smokin' hot to me.
