Specials & Marathons

-Glenn Martin, DDS
Premiered Monday, August 17, 2009
Now airing Fridays at 10:30pm
Glenn Martin, DDS is the first television production to come out of Michael Eisner’s Tornante Animation Company. The original stop-motion animated series follows the life of Glenn Martin (Kevin Nealon), who yearns for a change of scenery and a deeper connection with his family. Determined to bring the family closer together, Glenn takes the Martins on a road trip to protest the destruction of a beloved childhood park. As things unravel right from the get-go, the family is forced to make the dental-mobile – replete with a giant decorative toothbrush on the roof – their new home. Glenn, Jackie (Catherine O’Hara) and Courtney (Jackie Clarke) – an 11-year-old future corporate maven who brings along her personal assistant, Wendy (Judy Greer), a 14-year-old North Korean exile – and son, Conor (Peter Oldring), the 13-year-old hormone-addled tween who’s not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed--quickly learn when hitting the road that the road can sometimes hit back in unexpected ways. The Martins are accompanied on their journey by the family dog, Canine, who’s pronounced buttocks only add to the hilarity.

Friday, Oct. 29

10:30 p.m. – Glenn Martin, DDS
“Halloween Hangover” – Jackie wants the kids to have the best Halloween ever, so she goes overboard decorating their RV and competes with the over-the-top decorations on the trailer next door. But the night is threatened when Glenn eats candy for the first time and immediately develops a sugar addiction. Meanwhile, Courtney is feeling threatened when she learns that Wendy has a crush on Conor.

Saturday, Oct. 30

10:00 p.m. – George Lopez
“Halloween Cheer” – George prepares the house for Halloween, his favorite holiday, while dealing with the stress of hiring an assembly line worker whose life is a disaster. Meanwhile, Angie helps Carmen get accepted on the cheerleading squad in an effort to help her become more popular, but Carmen’s not the kind of girl Angie was in high school.

10:30 p.m. – George Lopez
“Leave it to Lopez” – As Halloween approaches, George feels guilty about his failure to buy life insurance. He becomes obsessed with death, resulting in nightmares that hearken back to his childhood television fixations. In fantasy sequences, George envisions his family members as characters from The Munsters, The Jetsons and Leave It to Beaver.

11:00 p.m. – George Lopez
“No One Gets Out Alive” – After the crash of an airplane built from parts made at George’s factory, the nervous employees blame one another. An inspector interviews them and then closes the plant temporarily until it is determined what happened. To earn money for the displaced staffers, the Lopez family turns their home into a haunted house on Halloween. Meanwhile, Benny suffers a delayed reaction to the accident.

11:30 p.m. – George Lopez
“Trick or Treat Me Right” – As Halloween approaches, George and Angie play practical jokes that are even funnier and scarier than ever before. But when Benny’s abusive comments and behavior grow worse, George finds it impossible to laugh things off and threatens to make some big changes.

12:00 a.m. – Everybody Hates Chris
“Everybody Hates Halloween” – Chris’ plans to attend his neighbor Lisa’s big Halloween party are threatened when his mother Rochelle makes him take his younger brother and sister trick-or-treating. Meanwhile, Chris and Greg attempt to dodge holiday pranksters armed with rotten eggs at school. And Rochelle objects when cost-conscious Julius wants to give trick-or-treaters generic “M and Ns,” “Nickers” and “Gravy Ways.”

12:30 a.m. – Malcolm in the Middle
“Halloween” – On Halloween Hal freaks out when he learns the family’s house was once the site of a murder-suicide. Meanwhile Reese and Dewey run from a old man in a walker after egging him and Lois struggles to get a break from work so she can go trick-or-treating with Jamie.

1:00 a.m. – Family Matters
“Stevil” – Steve's ventriloquist dummy comes to life on Halloween, wreaking havoc in the Winslow household.

2:30 a.m. – Family Matters
“Dog Day Halloween” – Carl must save Steve and Laura, who have been taken hostage during a Halloween robbery.

Nick at Nite has gotten so boring. I would suggest taking that 12am-1am hour of The Nanny out and put Home Improvement in that time slot. I still don't see any reason for Nick at Nite not airing it, at least even a little bit on the weekends. It's just a waste on TV Land (well, same for The Nanny).

I could also see Family Matters airing in the midnight time slot. The fact that they air four episodes in a row from 5-7 is kind of ridiculous and they repeat the 5 and 5:30 episodes at 6 and 6:30! I noticed that on the Nick at Nite website. Pretty stupid.

Glad to see Nick not forgetting about Malcolm for the Halloween episodes. I hope that they bring the series back, even if they run just a 1/2 hr nightly or just move it to TeenNick.

The Malcolm in the Middle Halloween episode in the Halloween stunt has been replaced by Home Improvement episode #32 "The Haunting of Taylor House."

Also, the 1:30am episode of Family Matters, "Who's Kid Is It Anyway," is a Nick at Nite premiere!

Great news seeing Home Improvement being included in the Halloween stunt! Would much rather see it than Malcolm anyway. Good to see they're at least interested in it. I think it fits in well, still.

BTW...I'm shocked Full House is back. It's a great transition show, though, and fits the channel well also.

Not a surprise Malcolm is moving. It will fit on TeenNick much better, just like Full House fits Nick at Nite better. Smart move!
TeenNick is still incredibly boring, though.
