The type of sitcoms like Family Matters is gradually vanishing from television. It is very very very hard to find this kind of warmth and love of a family in today's sitcoms.
"What about Joan" (with the amazing Kellie Williams -- Laura) tried to bring this type of sitcoms back, with touching moments and sometimes even sad situaitions. And that's the main reason why it wasn't excepted by the audience, and was cancelled after 11 eps. It was just considered old.

"The Family Matters Show" es mi programa favorita.

Don't Worry I know some Spanish. I'll Translate:
"The Family Matters Show" is my favorite program. There are no family programs today. "Laura Lee Winslow" is nice and funny " Harriette Winslow" is an intelligent and gracious mother. "Karl Winslow" is my favorite character. He is very funny Poor Richie Crawford because he has no mom but he lives with his Aunt and Uncle.
Actually his mom is played by Temla Hopkins from seasons 1-4 and then 6. She makes one more appearance on the program in December 1997.
