I know this sounds like a crazy question, but back in the tabooed 60's, The Flintstones I dealt with a pretty heavy issue....infertility! Barney & Betty Rubble adopted Bam Bam. Was it the first show to deal with such an issue?

My guess is that isssue was probably tacked on daytime TV by that time.
