1914 was the year of birth that the Nelsons' publicists used to give for Harriet; I remember that the trusty World Almanac listed July 18, 1914 as the date of her birth right until the 1994 edition. It was only when she died that David, in announcing her death, said that she had been 85.

But yes, RIP, Harriet--she was quite the lady on TV and in real life too by all accounts.

OH Nuts!

Harriet was a great lady and a great actress - IMO she was the best one in the family (though Ricky not far behind.) I always thought she could have done A LOT outside of the show - she had such a great wit and an exquisite sense of timing. May she rest in peace.

Haha. The report can't get the real Nelsons and reel Nelsons from becoming blurred. They said that the real David became a lawyer.

I agree! She had some of the best lines on the show. I wish I knew more about her life. RIP Harriet.

I remember when Harriet died. That was a very sad time. It just doesn't seem right that David is the only one left. Rick should still be here with us. At least Harriet had a long, happy life filled with love.

There is no such thing as a perfect family except on TV. But the Nelsons came close to the real thing. On TV or real life..

And your right. Ricky should be here with his brother David. Life sure sux sometimes.
