I got my s7 set today.. realized the rare curtain call is not included, despite it being listed on the back of the box!

I just ordered my copy, is there not a bonus feature elsewhere on the disc that would show this? Otherwise, if it is not included and it is advertised, then that shows how little concern or care Fox put into these releases. On the flip side and a positive note, at least all 7 seasons are finally available and no more waiting!

are you serious?

are you sure it's not somewhere, like on the back of one of the DVDs?

Am very serious. Checked every single video track and even checked all end credits to see if they misplaced it but with no luck.. its just not there.
The back of the dvd set clearly states "including the final curtain call from the last show" :(

This is disappointing, but I was just thinking, maybe it's included with the last show episode itself, and not a special disc or something? But I'm getting very anxious to get my copy!!

A DVD set has been released that clearly indicates that a special feature will be on the DVD, but is left out of the DVD altogether? That's going to result in several lawsuits aimed at TCFHE.

I highly doubt anyone is going to sue... but we will (hopefully) see a replacement disc program at some point.

Dragnet, Season 2 was released earlier this summer. On it was the 1966 pilot movie that was missing part of the intro before the main titles. Once Shout Factory realized the error, they instituted a DVD replacement program. I received my replacement disc (with the corrected material) in a timely manner.

Hopefully Fox will do the same thing.

They may have held back the curtain call for inclusion in a complete series release. Just speculating.

Maybe it's an Easter egg?

...20th Century-Fox, and Fox Home Video, doesn't care THAT MUCH about "THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW", given their track record of previous DVD releases, with hardly any "extras" or commentary at all. Unless there's a "public outcry" about the omission of the "curtain call" closing credits from the last episode [even though it was prominently "billboarded" on the DVD box], we may never "officially" see it again.

I'm really upset about this. I will not be purchasing this product until they fix their error.

Oh dear we MTM fans deserve better than this!(Shame on Fox)

I contacted Shout to see if there ever is a chance of Rhoda season1 being re-released complete, there now saying its too expensive to get the rights to the complete Rhoda pilot from the Paley Centre in either LA or New York, before they said these episodes didn't exist!.

No, the worst thing would be to not release the seventh season at all. They ought to correct their mistake, yes, but I'm still thrilled to at last be able to have all seven seasons. If you would like to see the final curtain call, check here:

Agree! Even with the flaws and obvious lack of quality control, I now have the entire series sitting on my shelf, in all its unedited glory save for a missing curtain call and a voice over from Mary in season 5 over the credits. Two minor things to overlook when I was finally, after years of waiting, was able to watch Sue Ann in her bedroom just a few minutes ago!

I forgot to ask, what is the best email to email Fox about this? I don't want to complain, I want to find out what I need to do to get a new disc. Some reviewers on Amazon say the curtain call is included on their discs, alas I am not one of them.

I acknowledge "jumping the gun" with my criticism on this matter. The final scene is indeed on most copies. And Fox is now replacing the discs that do not include it.

It would be nice if they re-released Disck #2 to have an UNCUT version of Murray Can't Lose, in which bits and pieces of the cut moment can still be seen in the credits.

What did they cut from "Murray Can't Lose"? Don't tell me there's no "Steam Heat" or "One For My Baby"! I'll be so disappointed in Fox if either of those is gone!

Steam Heat, that was Georgette's musical number! I sure hope that's not cut!

Voice over from Mary in the Season 5 credits??? What was this about? I haven't heard of the credits including a voice over. What was she saying?

The voice over from Season 5 was on "The System" talking about how they were not predicting the ending of the Super Bowl, but if the Vikings did win, you heard it there first (or something to that effect). It used to be shown on Nick@Nite, but it's not on the DVD's. It's been a while since I've heard it.

Steam Heat and One For My Baby were both kept in in tact, but they cut the bulk of Sue Ann making her way up to collect her Teddy. They show her going back for Lou in the end credits but it's not in the actual episode.

Well, I can live with that then. If the songs had been cut, I'd be on my way to the Fox offices (wherever they are) with picket signs! LOL I was actually nervous those songs would be victims of music rights issues as so many songs are these days.

I'm bummed that they would leave out ANYTHING!
I remember that voiceover about the Super Bowl, and would have loved to have seen (heard) it again.
And ANYTHING involving Sue Ann and Lou should have stayed!

But I finally did get my S7, and it's a good feeling that the whole series has been mass produced, so now it will be out there forever. Once I pop in the replacement disk, I'll be good to go!

Yeah, Mary sings "One for My Baby" in Lou's office as an audition to perform at the Teddy Awards. And let's just say, Mary prob. shouldn't quit her day job anytime soon. LOL. It's a pretty funny scene. :)
