80′s Star Mindy Cohn Featured in Premiere Episode

(New York, NY) — TLC resident fashion experts Stacy London and Clinton Kelly are back with an all new season of WHAT NOT TO WEAR premiering on Friday, October 29 at 9PM ET/PT. The network has ordered 26 episodes, with the first 13 airing through to January 2011 and the back 13 premiering in spring 2011. In the season opener, Stacy and Clinton tackle the challenge of making over 80′s child star Mindy Cohn. Best known for her role as Natalie in the hit show “Facts of Life,” Mindy is now 44 years old and struggling to balance her private and public persona while hiding in a frumpy wardrobe filled with oversized shapeless frocks. With her career back on the rise with a new movie, Stacy and Clinton offer her advice that will hopefully help her shine on the red carpet and in front of the paparazzi, and will keep her off Hollywood’s worst dressed list.

She also appears on these shows so she doesn't get typecast as Natalie. She's not ready to cash in on her name yet.

I remember them giving Mayim Bialik (Blossom) a makeover last year. She had kind of let herself go. They did a good job. I wonder if this will be a recurring thing....making over former child stars, LOL.

I love this show and will be watching. :) I haven't heard she was going to be in movie, tho. Interesting.

This was good, did anyone see it? Mindy was hysterical. They surprised her by ambushing her with about 50 FOL fans all asking for her picture, and then Stacy and Clinton pushed their way through the crowd.

Some of the funnier moments (I'm paraphrasing):

Clinton: "even Mrs. Garrett knew how to accent her waistline"

accusing Mindy of wearing "tents"

Mindy flashing Stacy and Clinton to show she does actually wear sexy underwear, not granny panties. LOL

i read that Mindy is the god mother of brad and angelina's twins. Apparently she is known for her integrity and tight lips. I met her when they filmed the reunion movie, she seemed very down to earth and genuinely happy :) Great girl.

I'm not sure when it will re-air... I was on the TLC site, and there are only clips of WNTW, not full episodes. No full shows on hulu either.

Anyone know if the full episode is available anywhere??
