"I grew up as a young girl in Oregon loving 'The Flintstones.' It was just wonderful. So if anyone told me that Hanna-Barbera would one day cast me as the teenage Pebbles, I don't think I would have ever believed them. It was the perfect job. Wonderful writing and a very classy team behind all of it," Struthers said.

"The animators were so clever, and so funny and innocent. And I got to work great actors, including the most famous voice in cartoons, Mel Blanc. What a darling, funny man he was. I think if you watch the original series today, it really holds up. And our show was very funny as well, because many of the same folks were involved."

And her time as the voice of teenaged Pebbles on "The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm Show",in the early 1970's,which also featured many of the original The Flintstones cast playing the same characters they played on The Flintstones ,Alan Reed as Fred,Mel Blanc as Barney,Jean Van Der Pyl as Wilma, and John Stephenson as Mr.Slate, made the show memorable ,and on par with the classic "The Flintstones".Long live "The Flintstones".

Pebbles and Bamm Bamm was the best of The Flintstones spin-offs.

Why didn't Sally reprise her role on The Flintstone Comedy Hour?

I tried watching The Pebbles & Bamm Bamm Show, it's not very good and I could never get into seeing Pebbles and Bamm Bamm as teenagers. That shrill whistle in the theme song was really annoying also. They sure grew up awful fast, this was 1971 the two kids should only have been 8 or 9 years old at that point. The Pebbles and Bamm Bamm episodes run just 20 minutes compared to The Flintstones episodes of 25 minutes. Saturday morning TV even in those days was loaded with commercials. The Flintstones will always be the best, nothing comes close to surpass the original series.
