Both actually very good as well. And extremely relevant to the show in both the lyrics and the spirit in which they were sung. MacLeaper 09-08-2011, 02:07 PM "The Incredible Hulk" 's closing theme song doesn't have lyrics- but I do think the music is probably a lot more familiar and memorable even than the opening theme song which does have lyrics. But in keeping with the scope of what you've asked- here's another show: "WKRP in Cincinnati" famously has an ending theme song different from the opening theme song that was near undecipherable. megamanj2004 09-08-2011, 02:44 PM Chico and the Man Welcome Back, Kotter The former had two different songs, one for the opening credits, the more familiar song "Chico and the Man" and the other one called "Hard Times in el Barrio" was the closing theme, both were performed by Jose Feliciano. The Edge of Night sort of had some singing in the closing theme, especially in the middle to before the very end of its run I think. Schmoopie 09-12-2011, 05:36 AM The one that immediately comes to mind is Frasier! The song annoyed me a little at first but now I love it! It's very catchy! And the fact that I'm addicted to the show might have a little to do with it! megamanj2004 02-25-2012, 04:35 PM Two new ones: Simon & Simon - Only the 1st season had lyrics to the closing theme, which was called "We're Best of Friends" that was performed by the Trasher Brothers. After S1, the more familiar theme song took over for the rest of the series. The Facts of Life - Prior to the Fall of 1985, the opening and closing theme songs for the 1st 2 versions of the FoL theme song differed from one another but both still retain The Facts of Life in the lyrics. One Life to Live - the 1984-91 theme song. In late 1985, only the closing theme had the lyrics performed by Peabo Bryson from his appearance in a September 1985 episode that were used alternatively w/ the instrumental theme until January of 1992 when the intro changed from "Tour of Llanview I" to the "Champagne and Love" intro. JMFabiano524 02-26-2012, 08:50 PM Blackadder I and II. GeorgeWBushGOP 03-02-2012, 08:16 AM "It's Gary Shandling's Show" "Happy Days" Coffeecup 03-04-2012, 11:44 AM Stage Coach West a western show starring Wayne Rogers in the early 60's . Cosmopolite 11-03-2016, 04:51 PM In 1971, Carroll O' Connor wrote words for the closing theme "Remembering You." He recorded the song and sang it on several retrospective programs of "All in the Family." magellan333 11-27-2016, 04:49 PM At one point the closing theme for Alice had the same lyrics, but it was sung by somebody who must have been being flogged as it was sung. It sounded awful. caladon 01-02-2017, 02:40 AM Have Gun - Will Travel |
