According to Lloyd Schwartz, Robert Reed just might have been replaced as Mike Brady if they had done a season 6.
McGillicuddy 09-28-2010, 11:52 AM That seems far more believable then Schwartz considering killing Mike Brady off.
sixfingers 09-28-2010, 11:55 AM Let's not forget that there was also fake Marcia!

I was just about to say that!!
old grouch 09-28-2010, 12:20 PM For season six, I could see Sherwood Schwartz replacing Robert Reed with somebody like Bill Bixby. I could also see Cousin Oliver coming back, although I think it would have messed up the opening credits if they gave him his own square. But I cannot see Carol giving birth to twins.
McGillicuddy 09-28-2010, 12:26 PM Oliver would have never gotten a square unless Alice disappeared, and he got her square. And if Carol had twins they would have had to drop the familiar opening with the squares, altogether.

Hey, there was a fake Tiger!!!!!

I thought there were three Tigers all together - so we also had a fake fake Tiger.
Marvo301 09-28-2010, 10:14 PM There was also a fake Sam (in a Santa suit!) in "A Very Brady Christmas"!

Yup!! Allan Melvin turned down the offer to reprise Sam, so Lewis Arquette stepped in.
old grouch 09-29-2010, 01:22 PM And the whole cast was fake in 'The Brady Bunch Movie'.
McGillicuddy 09-29-2010, 07:58 PM Now lets not forget the very first "Fake" of whom the phrase was coined, Geri Reischl as "Fake Jan" on The Brady Bunch Variety Hour, and to this day she carries this title proudly! :)

Yup - who doesn't love Geri?? She is a sweetheart and a doll. There's even a Fake Jan Day (January 2: Jan 2, get it? ;)) You celebrate with a cheese ball!!

It's nice to know there's at least one day of the year that's not all about Marcia, Marcia, Marcia! If anyone deserves their own day it's fake Jan/Geri! I will find a way to celebrate her on Jan.2.
jehobden 10-01-2010, 05:43 PM Yup!! Allan Melvin turned down the offer to reprise Sam, so Lewis Arquette stepped in.
Maybe Lewis Arquette had squares in his blood, since his dad was Cliff Arquette, better known as Charlie Weaver, left lower square of the original Hollywood Squares. He looked a bit like his dad too, when his dad was out of his glasses-&-mustache Charlie Weaver costume.

Plus Lewis himself is the father of Patricia, Rosanna, Alexis, David and all the other acting Arquette siblings. I guess it's in the blood!!
James 10-03-2010, 01:43 PM You celebrate [Fake Jan Day/January 2] with a cheese ball!!
What does a cheese ball have to do with "Fake Jan Day"? I'm confused!

I don't know, but I'm going to get some the day after New Years, and watch The Brady Variety Hour in honor of Geri!

Jude The Obscure 10-14-2010, 05:47 PM Whenever you watch the closing credits to "A Very Brady Christmas", we very well see how all those squares were indeed multiplied to fit all the cast members.
