What are your thoughts on this?

Here are the Toledo cans. The green one's regular, and the blue can's for recycling.

Automated trash pickup? Does that mean you have to call and 'place an order' for your trash to be picked up?
If so, that's messed up.

I don't need to call. I still have to take the carts to the curb, like everyone else that has Toledo city pickup.

Advantages: I don't have to pick up my sloppy neighbors' stuff that used to blow over to my property; everything is on wheels so it's easier to take out the recyclables & trash; it's less of a strain for the collectors.

Disadvantages: Once in a while the tree lawn gets torn up when the cans are set down; we still don't have automated pick-up for yard waste.

Overall it's been a better system. Watch out for rough handling though; at least one neighbor had his wheels fall off...!
