"All My Children" Plus Two:
Good news for Lindsay Hartley, who just landed on "AMC". After been dropped from "DOOL", Hartley has joined the ABC soap as Cara Finn, a new character who will be appearing on Dec. 8.
Joining her in Pine Valley is another soap veteran. Jordi Vilasuso has been cast as Griffin Castillo, and like Hartley, it's a contract role.
Vilasuso is best known from his days on "GL" as Tony Santos. Vilasuso's first airdate is Nov. 15.
Both of the new characters will be involved with Jake (Ricky Paull Goldin) and Amanda (Chrishell Stause).
"All My Children" Minus Two:
Coinciding with the announcement of two new characters, "AMC" has decided to release two others. Say goodbye to Marissa (Brittany Allen) and Scott (Adam Mayfield).
The two actors have been let go because the show has decided to go in another direction. The characters will be recast some time in the near future.
The storylines in which these characters are front and center will continue well into October. That means Brittany and Adam will be on air for a while to come.
