View Full Version : What NEW shows are you watching this fall? Buffyboy323 09-19-2010, 04:29 PM It's that time of year again! What new shows are you going to watch this fall? browneyes106 09-19-2010, 05:01 PM I'll probably watch Lone Star, My Generation and The Walking Dead. tv star collector 09-19-2010, 06:47 PM Nikita, Better with You, No Ordinary Family and Running Wilde howierules86 09-19-2010, 07:03 PM Tuesday - Raising Hope and Running Wilde Wednesday - Better With You (though I'll switch to Survivor on the commercials), and Hellcats (during the commercials of Modern Family & Cougar Town) That's about it. The rest of my primetime schedule consists of returning shows (The Simpsons, Cleveland Show, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Glee, The Middle, The Big Bang Theory, 30 Rock). icecream 09-20-2010, 12:57 AM I will definitely be watching Better With You with it having The Middle as a lead-in and no competition. I loved Joanna Garcia on Privileged and Reba, although I doubt it's as good as those shows at least from the ads I've seen. Also liked Jennifer Finnigan on Crossing Jordan and Close to Home. I will try out Blue Bloods and The Whole Truth with a chance to become regulars. Never saw Tom Selleck in Magnum P.I. but I like the premise of BB and think it could help revive scripted programming on Fridays. The TWT description reminded me of Law & Order: Trial By Jury, I just hope it's not doomed by ABC's death slot. Hawaii Five-O and No Ordinary Family I will catch the pilot encores but they won't likely become regulars airing against Castle and Glee/NCIS respectively. Plus I doubt Alex O. compares to Jack Lord. I'm looking forward to Law & Order: UK coming to BBCAmerica in October. Was interested in LOLA but with all the SVU crossovers not as much. I like the cast of The Defenders but the ads haven't sold me. Heartland (Canadian version) is a show I've started watching in syndication. Lone Star could be good but I won't be home at that time and don't have a DVR yet. I was thinking about watching Outsourced but after seeing the ads I'll pass. tbswatcher 09-20-2010, 02:07 PM The Event and No Ordinary Family. benjamoon 09-20-2010, 07:16 PM I'm sampling ALL of them on the four big networks (not CW) and reviewing them (in my blog, see link in my signature!) But the ones I am really looking forward to are Mike & Molly, Hawaii Five-0, Lone Star, Detroit 1-8-7, and Undercovers Don't have much hope for Chase, Running Wilde, My Generation, Outsourced, and $#*! My Dad Says but we'll see Tubehead 09-21-2010, 12:01 AM The Event No Ordinary Family HAWIE FIVE O MIKE AND MOLLY THE WHOLE TRUTH DETROIT 187 UNDER COVERS the Defenders Nikita THE CHASE My Generation THE RETURNS SEASONS: THE BIG BANG THOERY THE MENALIST NSIC LOSE ANGLES SMALLVILLE 70s show watcher 09-21-2010, 01:55 AM i liked the event but i didnt care much for chase it was very bland and uninteresting comedyfreak 09-23-2010, 08:49 AM bleep my dad says Hawaii 5-0 Better with you Mike and Molly Outsourced Raising Hope Running Wilde Jude The Obscure 09-23-2010, 08:32 PM I've enjoyed Hawaii 5-0 and will watch again next week. I tried Lone Star but turned it off at the halfway point. Zoneboy 09-23-2010, 08:48 PM I went with the last option Retro4Life 09-23-2010, 10:13 PM The Event might be worth checking out, and there's two mid season replacement shows that I think are worth a look, too; Odd Jobs, with Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson of Lost, and The Cape, a superhero series from CBS. Other than that, not much. 70s show watcher 09-24-2010, 04:52 AM I've enjoyed Hawaii 5-0 and will watch again next week. I tried Lone Star but turned it off at the halfway point.apperently judging by the ratings so did almost all of america yankeesrj12 09-24-2010, 09:21 AM I'm testing almost every series, with the exception of Chase, The Good Guys (which isn't new), Hellcats, Human Target (which also isn't new), Lonestar, Nikita, No Ordinary Family, Running Wilde, and Undercovers. Mr. Television 09-24-2010, 06:24 PM So far I've watched Hawaii Five-O, Mike and Molly, Bleep My Dad Says, Better with You and The Defenders and liked all of them so I'll probably keep watching them. I was going to watch Lone Star but that's out now. I'll wait a few weeks to see how the Event ratings turn out. Jude The Obscure 09-24-2010, 10:26 PM So far I've watched Hawaii Five-O, Mike and Molly, Bleep My Dad Says, Better with You and The Defenders and liked all of them so I'll probably keep watching them. I was going to watch Lone Star but that's out now. I'll wait a few weeks to see how the Event ratings turn out. you did yourself a favor by not watching Lone Star... P.U.!! Buffyboy323 10-09-2010, 06:18 PM This has been the worst fall season for new tv shows in a while, in my opinion. Not a single new show has me excited to tune in. I watched Lone Star, thought the pilot was alright, but we all know how that turned out. I recorded My Generation, but we also know how that one turned out. Hawaii Five-O was ok, but I don't think I'm going to make it one of "my shows." I have been enjoying Raising Hope on FOX though. I have all of No Ordinary Family, Hellcats, and Nikita recorded. I'm going to let them pile up a little more, just to be on the safe side. I don't want to invest in shows that aren't going to be around in a few weeks. benjamoon 10-09-2010, 06:22 PM So far, my two faves of the new crop are The Event and Detroit 1-8-7. I've enjoyed Mike & Molly and Better With You as well. And I liked the two episodes of Lone Star before its cancellation Mr. Television 10-09-2010, 11:49 PM So far I've watched Hawaii Five-O, Mike and Molly, Bleep My Dad Says, Better with You and The Defenders and liked all of them so I'll probably keep watching them. I was going to watch Lone Star but that's out now. I'll wait a few weeks to see how the Event ratings turn out. I watched the pilot for The Event and it's not for me. It's no Lost or 24. |
