"Law & Order: SVU" Books David Alan Grier

David Alan Grier is heading to "Law & Order: SVU".


Grier, 54, will play defense attorney Jeremy Swift in an upcoming episode called "Branded," scheduled to air October 20, a show rep tells TVGuide.com.

He joins previously announced guests Michael Gladis and Kevin Alejandro, who will play rape victims who are brutally abused.


"Law & Order: SVU's" twelfth season premieres Sept. 22nd at 9/8c on NBC.
