From 1960-1968 "My Three Sons"was WAY ahead of its time, for a family sitcom of that era.In other shows of that era ("Leave It To Beaver"comes to mind),because on that show,Ward never took Beaver or Wally to his place of work(or did he?)In the pretty good "The Pencil Pusher"Steve did. That is done nowadays in real life with "Take Your Kids to Work Day".And it was one -if not THE first shows on TV,to use something they use a LOT in real life these days-abbreviations.And in the black and white "Instant Hate",and one of the color ones,it dealt with the Douglas's feud(the neighbors were not very nice in those)with their neighbors. As Bub said to Steve once, smiling "Nothing else like it!!!"And it was a darned good comedy, too.
