After my inital report on Friday about the temporary restraining order obtained by Bundy, Sharpe performed his regular NFL studio host duties on CBS on Sunday and did not comment about the case.
Following my report on the details of the restraining order petition today, Sharpe released this statement through CBS: “I have decided to step aside from the NFL Today until this matter is resolved.”
CBS Sports Senior Vice President of Communications LeslieAnne Wade said on behalf of the network: “We accept Shannon’s decision and decline to comment further on a pending legal matter.”
Though it’s important to keep in mind that Sharpe has not been charged with a crime or been arrested, based on the gravity of the allegations against him, CBS and Sharpe did the right thing in allowing the legal process to run its course.

Found out today from foxsports.com that CBS hired monkey face back because the case was dismissed

Not to start anything, but what is the average age of people who post here? The name calling is juvenile. Can't posters communicate like adults?

Exactly, that is very unprofessional and childish. I use to have my threads deleted if I called a famous person a name.

And Solomon you should know better. As a black man, you have the nerve to call another black man "Monkey Face" on a public forum. I am no moderater, but brother man, you disappointed me in this case.

And what does age have to do with anything? If you don't like what was posted, then don't read it. I don't think anything that was posted was untrue. Did Michele Bundy and Shannon have a relationship? Did he abuse her? Is that why she filed a restraining order against him? I don't have a problem with Shannon talking about football. He livens up the show on CBS to me because Dan Marino, James Brown, Boomer Esiason and the guy who used to coach the Steelers are boring.
