OK, now, stop laughing! Be open-minded and stretch your imaginations to the
realistic max here. Remember we are allowing for the infidelity here,
whatever the cause may be. State what you see as the maximum
romantic possibility for Gilligan and Lovey.

I'm having a tough time imagining these two as a couple. But in the land of Sherwood Schwartz's sitcoms, I guess anything's possible.

Mrs. Howell as a cougar-I don't think so.
OK. Stretching it to the max, I think the utmost possibility would be a date ending with a small peck either on the cheek or lips. It would all have to stem from one of those special Gilligan/Lovey moments of understanding and communication in which they tend to connect due to their similar compassionate nature. When not in her customary, habitual rich lady mode, calling for a maid or a bellcap, as she is used to doing, Lovey is quite a kind person, like Gilligan. She is also sometimes treated as an outcast, like Gilligan: "I talk to everyone but sometimes I have the feeling nobody listens,"
in the sense of being undervalued for her contributions. I don't think they are especially attracted to one another or that Gilligan is interested in older women but I think he can "appreciate" her attractiveness (without any hormones--his, I mean) and she was quite flattered when she thought he might have been the secret admirer. it would be mostly emotionally based, though.

Not really- ! She was a bit "oh dear." I think she would have preferred it to have been the Professor. :p
but I love how Gilligan pulls her to safety in My Fair Gilligan.
I had to bring this thread back to life because it's just too funny to imagine Gilligan taking Lovey on a date. It would be hilarious and super-awkward. I think Bob and Natalie would have played it to the hilt in an alternate universe.
He could be her 'pool boy'.
