This thread is to discuss things that are very current mentioned in Good Times, almost 40 years ago. :)
1. Mad Dog, a tough thug with a nonchalant, but belligerent attitude could very well be the every day thug hoodrats I see on a regular basis on the streets today.
2. James called Savannah a skank, a word meaning a bitchy woman, very well still used today, in fact, I actually thought that the Gen Y came up with that word.
3.Florida complains that food prices are up, gas prices are up, and employment is down. The very same issues plaguing us in 2010.
4. Thelma says that drunk, passed out Naomi is tore up, meaning messed up, a term that is still used today, although it is said like this: "Tore up from the floor up."
