What are your opinions? Was this a mismatched couple?

Which is why I scratch my head as to how this became a spinoff?

I think Joanie and Chachi were a great couple (after all, they grew up together and were each other's first real loves), but I don't think they were strong enough characters to anchor their own spinoff. Apparently, the audience didn't think so either, since after their show got the ax, J&C were back on Happy Days until that show ended.

Honestly, I always hated Chachi. It probably wasn't Baio's fault; they just wrote him so obnoxious and cloying I couldn't stand it when he was on screen. And that completely out of place, feathered, pudding bowl haircut in the late 50's/early 60's was a joke! He would have been beaten to a pulp sporting that thing!

As for the couple, I did like Moran but Monika's right; they weren't strong enough to be on their own.

I loved Joanie and Chachi together. Heck, when I was a kid I named my cats Joanie and Chachi. :)

I think their show could have worked, but the storylines were not great and they probably were not strong enough characters to hold it together. I still have a soft spot for them though.
