View Full Version : What Network will become #1 Jerryt 09-08-2010, 11:15 PM With Networks except the CW airing there new season lineup in a few weeks and almost all of the networks has aired there Fall Previews. Which network will get the best ratings this season? My pick is definitely CBS. mswood 09-08-2010, 11:20 PM CBS should have the highest number of viewers. Fox will probably continue to win the far more important demo wars (which is what sets ad rates, thus how much money shows generate). 70s show watcher 09-09-2010, 12:07 AM i say cbs Will and Grace Fanatic 09-09-2010, 02:05 AM CBS will probably have more viewers per show, although Fox may still have the number one show with American Idol. James28 09-10-2010, 12:15 AM I want another show on one of the three original networks to be the nukmber one show. American Idol cannot be in that spot forever, the damage caused by its streak has been done already. I hate the FOX network. Mr. Television 09-10-2010, 08:51 AM I want another show on one of the three original networks to be the nukmber one show. American Idol cannot be in that spot forever, the damage caused by its streak has been done already. I hate the FOX network. I do wish that AI would die. I cannot stand that show. I think CBS will be #1 yet again. Fox will probably win in the demo which frankly I don't care about. It's that demo that's caused so many people to leave network television. rjt100 09-10-2010, 10:46 AM CBS has the most solid schedule. They will definitely be number one with viewers in 2010-2011. They will probably be a close second in demos. American Idol will fall and will not be the number one show. It will lose a lot of its' audience. It'll probably still be in the top ten but I wouldn't be surprised if it finishes out of the top ten at the end of the season. retrofan05 09-10-2010, 11:01 AM CBS will probably have more viewers per show, although Fox may still have the number one show with American Idol. I'm not so sure about AI being number one this year. In the past few years I've become totally bored with it. It's the same every year and there are really no surprises. With Simon, Ellen, and Kara leaving the show, they would have to get some pretty big names to replace them in order to keep the show popular. R.jsheedy 09-10-2010, 03:40 PM i think NBC might acually have the potential to become #3 this year, but i still think ABC has the better chance right now, but its possibe. I rely seeing CBS scoring in Total Viewers, But FOX will be cashing in on their impressive 18-34 demo. Pavan 09-10-2010, 04:17 PM Too early to say for the entire season since mid-season is far off and scheduling is not done, but for the Fall: CBS - #1 in total viewers 18-49? Up for grabs. It is anyone's game in the fall. yankeesrj12 09-10-2010, 05:02 PM Too early to say for the entire season since mid-season is far off and scheduling is not done, but for the Fall: CBS - #1 in total viewers 18-49? Up for grabs. It is anyone's game in the fall. 18-49 up for grabs? I still say FOX gets the demo. However, how close was the race between first and second last year? James28 09-10-2010, 07:22 PM I do wish that AI would die. I cannot stand that show. I think CBS will be #1 yet again. Fox will probably win in the demo which frankly I don't care about. It's that demo that's caused so many people to leave network television. Demographics suck. The networks care about them all the time, I don't. I was out of the 18-49 age group by 1978. 70s show watcher 09-10-2010, 07:30 PM I do wish that AI would die. I cannot stand that show. I think CBS will be #1 yet again. After the explosive success they had between 2004 and 2005 with Deseprate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Lost and Boston Legal, ugly Bett and Brothers & Sisters all becoming big hits they haven't really developed any more hit series. Most of these shows have ended or will be ending soon so they could face an uphill battle if something this year doesn't prove to be a huge hit. I'm worried that some of their new shows aren't getting much promotion. My gut says CBS will be #1 in total viewers with FOX or NBC potentially winning the 18-49 demographic. I have a feeling it'll be like this in total viewers: 1. CBS 2. FOX 3. NBC 4. ABC 5. CW Demos: 1. FOX 2. NBC 3. CBS 4. ABC 5. CW Mr. Television 09-10-2010, 09:35 PM Demographics suck. The networks care about them all the time, I don't. I was out of the 18-49 age group by 1978. I'll be out of it in 5 years. lol They never represented me anyway. James28 09-20-2010, 10:38 PM From now on, until a different show takes the #1 spot in the Nielsen Ratings from American Idol, FOX and CBS are considered mortal enemies. clj2 09-20-2010, 11:31 PM I say CBS #1, FOX #2. |
