I read about it a few years ago when I noticed that William Demarest & Sandra Gould both appeared in the Twilight Zone episode "What's in the Box?" I knew they later replaced Frawley & Pearce in their respective series but didn't know they died on the same day until I looked them up on IMDb. It's not often that 2 prominent celebrities die on the same day, another incident that comes to mind is Yul Brynner & Orson Welles, they died on Oct 10, 1985.

Ironic...and sad. :(

I hadn't realized that these two had died on the same day either. A very sad day indeed. The only other example of two celebrities dying on the same day that I can remember is Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson.
