Than all the rest of the episodes? 1-First season's "The Big Tall Wish"(1960-written by Rod Serling-half-hour) 2-Fourth season's "The Thirty-Fathom Grave"(1963-wrirtten by Rod Serling-hourlong)

Maybe Serling himself did not make an appearance in those?

Rod only appeared in one episode and that was the first season finale "A world of His Own"

That's interesting -- however I meant that maybe he didn't appear at all in those 2 eps., as he normally did giving the narration?
I still don't know the answer to the o.p.'s question...

This WAS a hard one,so I'll give the answers:In #1-The Big Tall Wish, the episode featured a mostly(but not alll)black cast, headed by the late Ivan Dixon. This was WAY ahead of its time.#2-As for "The Thirty Fathom Grave",it had an all-male cast.

He didn't appear on screen at all during the first season except for the cameo in the last episode.

No wonder I wracking my brain on this one because it's not even correct. It did indeed have an all male cast but was among nearly 30 episodes that did so.
