View Full Version : Returning to TV Land in October, 2010 Pavan 09-07-2010, 11:07 AM http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2010/09/tv-land-fall-2010-schedule-part-2-has-i.html ClassicTVGal 09-07-2010, 06:51 PM Oh, this is *awesome* news! I'm sorry, but I think both N@N and TVLand have both gone drastically down hill the past several years. I hope they plan on bringing back more classics!! I don't like all this reality "non" classic stuff!! snelson 09-08-2010, 10:39 AM this is nice. but i will not watch it on tvland because of the editing. i have all 5 seasons on dvd. ClassicTVGal 09-08-2010, 01:55 PM Well, I really don't watch TV anymore b/c of the choices we have today. I watch DVDs (television mostly), if I do at all. I may watch it there once in a while. But I *am* glad they are bringing it back. Guess we'll see what kind of edits they will do... probably the same as the last time is was on TV. Sometimes it would be nice to have a time machine! lol TV Knowledge Fan 09-14-2010, 03:17 AM ...has a tendency to heap a lot of publicity on a "new", returning repeat, then schedule erratic "mini-marathons" of them while "burying" them in a time period few people are willing to commit themselves to (say, around 5:00am in the morning, as they've done with "M*A*S*H", and as they did to "LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRARIE" before they yanked it off their schedule). And the fact that they don't even bother to present full closing credits anymore...I'm sure "I DREAM OF JEANNIE" will serve their purpose as 'BEWITCHED" is doing right now....then, within a year, they'll pull both of them off, and schedule another, more "contemporary" comedy in its place...it almost makes you wonder why TV Land bothers scheduling them in the first place! :read: Pavan 09-16-2010, 12:10 PM UPDATE! It starts Oct. 5 now: http://blog.sitcomsonline.com/2010/09/tv-land-october-2010-schedule-revised.html clj2 10-06-2010, 08:31 PM Who's watching IDOJ on TV Land? I'm not able to with it being in the morning, but was wondering how the editing is compared to WGN. Wish they would move it to afternoons also since I no longer get WGN. Rezny@gmail.com 10-06-2010, 09:27 PM I do get WGN,and, while I'm not sure about the editing,(they probably cut stuff out, too,)but they probably do what TVLand used to do,but does not now.By that,I mean WGN airs it in two 15-minute scenes, then a 5-minute scene at the end..TVLand however, airs 5 minutes of show, for each act of the show, and then 5 minutes(sometimes more)of commercials.Give me WGN over TVLand any day. billdailyfanct 10-07-2010, 10:38 AM Been watching it on TVLand when I am around as I am around most mornings durinng week and I also prefer WGN over TvLand as well. TVland airs too many commercias during the break as o where WGN don't air aas many during the breaks, so I prefer WGN over TvLand as well. |
