I always assumed so because I don't ever remember any mention of siblings BUT tonight I am watching an episode from Season 1 where she and Rhoda are collecting green stamps, and she says she is going to buy something for her nephew with her share.

I don't believe it ever was brought up except that ep, that I can remember.
And yes, that is from, Just A Lunch and at the end, Mary tells Rhoda that she plans on buying a baseball glove for her nephew.

Well if she has a nephew then she must have a sibling! You can't have one without the other.

Well, I would think, if Mary had had a sibling, we'd have been introduced to him/her, or at least they'd have been mentioned. The nephew thing is weird, but, hey, Bess called Rhoda "Aunt," and we know they weren't related! LOL

Yes, I know, but I always saw her as one, (an only child) and Kristen is right. We would have been introduced. Just one of those TV things where they have one thing in a script and then forget it was there sometime later.
I mean they had that thing about Rhoda's brother, and I kinda ignore the fact in a way.
(even though it was mentioned twice... once when Rhoda tells Mary she forgot to pick him up from kindergarten and then another ep when Ida tells Rhoda not to drag her sister and brother in to something they were discussing)
And then her sister was called "Debbie" in MTM and then "Brenda" in RHODA.
LOL... there are actually tons of examples, but we won't get into that right now.
