Have improved with age(by that,I mean started out fairly unlikable,and became nicer as the series progressed), 2)which have started out nice,but did NOT improve with age(started out nice,but got meaner as the series progressed),3)which ones were nice when the series began and remained that way as the series progressed4)which ones were mean and nasty at the start and remained that way as the series progressed?

1)"Perry Mason"(the series version)was kinda unlikable in season one,but got better ,a lot nicer as the series progressed.,as did Chief Ironside on "Ironside" ,Sgt.O'Rourke on "F Troop",and Sophia on "The Golden Girls"-They toned the "Sophia"character down a lot as the series progressed. 2)Fred Sanford started out nice,but got grumpier as time went on(the network said audiences liked him Grumpier),Darrin on "Bewitched",due to the "great Darrin switch",3)A lot of 3's,too many to mention,and 4)Frank Barone of "Everybody Loves Raymond".

I always thought Edna Babish from Laverne and Shirley was a mean old witch during her early scenes on the show, but she evolved into a nice person.
