ABC 1990 by a landslide. I like The Wonder Years, Coach, Growing Pains, Who's the Boss, and Family Matters. FOX had zilch.

Totally agree. ABC had a great lineup that season!

The only shows I like here are Roseanne, The Simpsons, & The Critic. If I wasn't a child in this era I'd probably have more favorites.

I watched 9 of those ABC shows and 8 of the FOX ones, so it's pretty much a tie. I loved the Aaron Spelling soaps on FOX and most of the ABC sitcoms that played 8-930.

the highlights for me:

FOX - The Simpsons, Married . . . with Children, The X-Files

ABC - Twin Peaks, ABC Sunday Night Movie, Head of the Class, Growing Pains, Doogie Howser, M.D.,

the Simpsons and MWC were two of my favorite shows back then so I would call it a tie.

Let's see ...

ABC had The Wonder Years, Perfect Strangers, and Family Matters, just to name three.

FOX had ... let's see ... NOTHING! NADA! ZILCH!

ABC wins!

FOX
Beverly Hills, 90210
Melrose Place
Party of Five
Models Inc.
The X-Files
Married . . . with Children
Martin
Living Single

ABC
Roseanne
Growing Pains
The Wonder Years
Full House
Family Matters
Who's the Boss?
Head of the Class
Doogie Howser, M.D.

This was the toughest one yet! FOX 1994 should get my vote just for 90210 and Melrose being in their prime, but as a whole, ABC had too many great sitcoms in 1990, that it overpowered my favorite FOX dramas. So I choose ABC.

ABC 1990 hands down. Roseanne, The Wonder Years and Twin Peaks alone sealed it.

FOX were indeed kickin' it with The Simpsons, Married . . . with Children, The X-Files, Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, Party of Five, The Critic, Martin, Living Single, New York Undercover, Cops, America's Most Wanted, M.A.N.T.I.S., and even Models Inc. My only gripe was when they cancelled In Living Color for that POS Wild Oats, which starred one of the worst actresses ever, the show-killing loli Paula Marshall.

In 1990, ABC was in the middle of their cookie-cutter period. They only had a few shows worth watching, and they were Roseanne, The Wonder Years, Doogie Howser, M.D. (a guilty pleasure of mine because I love NPH), China Beach, Monday Night Football, and Twin Peaks, and we all know what ABC did to the latter later on. Who's the Boss?, Growing Pains, and MacGyver had already jumped the shark, and Perfect Strangers was mediocre at best. Full House, Head of the Class, Coach, Life Goes On, Thirtysomething, and The Young Riders were all trash, and Family Matters was just as bad minus the Urkel scenes. And Going Places? Yeah, more like Going Nowhere.

FOX '94 WINS!!!!!!

ABC takes the cake. The only shows I really watched on FOX (from that year) were "Married with Children" and "Melrose Place".

ABC had some really good shows, such as Monday Night Football, China Beach, Full House, Head of the Class, Coach, Life Goes On, Thirtysomething, Wide World of Sports, The Wonder Years, the bowling telecasts that preceded Wide World, Twin Peaks, and Homefront.

ABC was the only channel i could get clearly living in the mountains of North Carolina, so for me it was Roseanne, The Wonder Years, Doogie Howser, M.D., China Beach, Monday Night Football, and Twin Peaks, and we all know what ABC did to the latter later on. Also, our ABC had in syndication Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy (even tough i didn't like the fact that Alex Trebek was more akin to a very strict teacher: he would snap at the contestants if they forgot a rule (most commonly, phrasing with "What is ...?") or giving an answer that was inappropriate to the category (such as in a category about numbers, anything other than a numerical answer), and treated the show very seriously, but who cares) and American Gladiators (especially the Mike Adamle/ Larry Csonka years).
