The Tony Randall Show left such a bad taste in Mr. Randall's mouth that he vowed never to do another tv series again. Despite offers to continue a career in television, Tony turned them down due to his self titled series being canned despite network executives promising him they were committed to the show. Interesting....

I wonder what made him change his mind? He did Love Sidney a few years later and the network was all over that show too. His character was supposed to be gay but the network wouldn't allow it. Then during the second season, it was hinted at. The network kept changing it's time slot so nobody could find it. I guess he finally made good on his promise after that show got cancelled. lol

I really liked the Tony Randall show. It was one of those shows that kind of slipped between the cracks and got cancelled even though it was quite funny and well written and acted.
It is too bad that Randall never got another show that approximated the length and popularity of The Odd Couple. Watching him work was a real joy.

It is too bad that Randall never got another show that approximated the length and popularity of The Odd Couple. Watching him work was a real joy.
