In an article of the Desert News dated on July 27th 1986, it was reported that the episode titled George Jefferson Meets the KKK actually saved a child's life!

In the episode, the leader of the KKK suffers a heart attack and George performs CPR on him and saves his life. A lady from Texas saw that episode a few nights earlier. She used CPR she remembered watching on The Jeffersons to save her 1 year old daughter.
