In general are Hollywood parents allwed to have their infants (that don't appearance on camera) on set with them (tv show or movie) for however long, hours, etc.?
I thought (or perhaps it's just an old law that doesn't apply anymore?) that infants weren't allowed to be on the set for more than two hours total. Is it different for babies that don't appear on camera?
I just came across this. Yes, I realize it's old.

Jane Leeves Won't Leave Baby Behind 2/13/2001
New mother, Jane Leeves is going back to work - but her little girl Isabella is coming too. Unhappy about leaving her new daughter (b. 1/9/2001) at home with a nanny, Paramount studios, who produce her hit TV sit-com Frasier, have bought little Isabella her very own trailer where she will stay while her mom is filming. British-born Leeves and her friends have outfitted the make-shift nursery with an antique high chair from the cast and a changing table and crib - a gift from Leeves's pals Valerie Bertinelli and Eddie Van Halen.
