Robert F.Simon,who played Darrin's father in the earlier episodes,replaced by Roy Roberts?

Both were superb character actors who were in great demand and Robert Simon got very busy with movie roles & for a while was simply not available on a given week when the script called for Mr.Stephens to be present, so they turned to the at that time also still very much in demand for TV work Roy Roberts.
