Hi everyone. For the last few years I have been trying to collect all of the old Saturday Morning Preview Specials that they used to air to promote the new fall line up. I am contacting collectors of old video footage to see if they have any Saturday Morning Preview specials on VHS or DVD. If you have any I would love to trade with you. I currently have many but I am looking for more. If you have any of these If you do not see anything you want from my list to trade, I would be very happy to work out some other arrangement. It is my dream to someday have a complete set of all these great shows before they are gone forever. Also, if anyone can point me to a third party who has any I do not already have, I will be more than happy to send them some DVDs as a thank you for helping me track these down.

I am also a graphic designer and I have created high quality custom covers for all the DVDs I trade. These would make a great addition to anyone's collection.

Saturday morning preview specials were aired on television annually to present previews of each network's fall lineup of Saturday morning children's programming.

Every fall, each network would generally air (or, make available to its affiliates) two preview specials for the fall season -- one for their prime-time shows, and another for their Saturday morning schedule.

Typical air times

The Saturday morning previews were generally aired on the network in prime-time, usually the Friday night before the new schedule began. If more than one network started their new schedules on the same date, they would have their previews on different nights on the week of the new schedule.

The preview specials are usually hosted by stars of one or more of the network's popular series and feature an array of special guests. The previews are for new and returning series, with each preview featuring the show's opening credits and a scene from that program. The previews are generally linked together by a storyline or theme. Some of these specials also unveil the network's new imaging for Saturday morning.

With the changes in direction for Saturday morning, in light of the E/I rules, the subsequent exodus of higher-quality children's programming to cable television, and networks selling their scheduling rights to other companies, the preview specials on the legacy "Big 3" networks all but disappeared by the start of the new millennium, with FOX being the last network to still feature annual specials (even though FOX's Saturday morning block was programmed by 4Kids TV). Fox, incidentally, abandoned all children's programming in favor of infomercials in December 2008.

And what really makes these fun to have Konfusion is that just like most sporting events and live news coverage, they are only ever aired once. Which not only makes them difficult to track down, but quite the nostalgic trip once located. bloodyraredvds has the largest collection of these of any trader I am aware of.

whats the source of the bill N ted Cartoon? Hulu?

I got it from another collector.

some of those serial killer ones look really interesting to me. i like that kind of stuff.

some of the covers look better than the actual movies. some of the fan made movie are kind of stupid but the covers look really good for them.

Thanks KonfusionFTC. That means a lot to me when someone thinks highly of my DVD covers. I put a lot of extra work in to designing them. I figure, just because something is rare, does not have to mean it has to come in a flimsy white DVD sleeve. I get the covers themselves printed professionaly on thick, high quality paper. It costs me extra but they come out really nice. I used to print on the DVD itself but to many DVDs where getting ruined that way and it just did not seem worth it. Presentation is nice but when it comes down to it, people want the DVD to work and everything else it just a nice bonus. Here are some other custom true crime covers from my collection. Some of this footage is so hard to find that it is a miracle I tracked it down at all. For instance, the 1970s police footage of Chicago police digging out the bodies from John Wayne Gacy's house was originally smuggled out of an evidence locker and spent a long time in the underground collectors circles before finding its way to me. If you or any one else can help me track down any of the remaining Saturday Morning Preview Specials that I dont have, I would be more than happy to send you a big box of these very rare true crime DVDs or any other DVDs from my collection. :)

Hi everyone. I just got another Saturday Morning Preview in the mail today so I thought I would post it's cover and a revised list.

For the last few years I have been trying to collect all of the old Saturday Morning Preview Specials that they used to air to promote the new fall line up. I am contacting collectors of old video footage to see if they have any Saturday Morning Preview specials on VHS or DVD. If you have any I would love to trade with you. I currently have many but I am looking for more. If you have any of these If you do not see anything you want from my list to trade, I would be very happy to work out some other arrangement. It is my dream to someday have a complete set of all these great shows before they are gone forever. Also, if anyone can point me to a third party who has any I do not already have, I will be more than happy to send them some DVDs as a thank you for helping me track these down.

I am also a graphic designer and I have created high quality custom covers for all the DVDs I trade. These would make a great addition to anyone's collection.

Hi all. I was just wondering, has anyone traded with "AdjustTracking" before? We are supposed to be trading for the 1984 NBC Saturday Morning Preview (Laughbusters). I sent him a bunch of DVDs a while back and have nto received anything yet. Now, in his defense, I sent my stuff very quickly and sent much more than he asked for and he was kind enough to let me know that he was having some trouble transferring the video to DVD. But that was a couple of weeks ago and I have not heard from him since. I am not saying that I think he is a bad trader. I completely understand that it takes a while to transfer this stuff and I am fully willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I am just wondering if anyone has any past experience trading with him. I really am looking forward to getting this DVD and I hope he gets back to me soon. And again, I am not saying he ripped me off. There are many things that could have prevented him from sending the dvds yet. Just curious. Thanks all.

It is not uncommon to have all sorts of problems converting VHS to DVD but it is totally unacceptable that he does not reply to your e mails.

Thanks for the reply Atlas. I really am hoping that he still sends the DVD (or even just a copy of the VHS). I still have faith that he will and I am sure it will just turn out that he got delayed for very important reasons (a death in the family, a business trip, a house fire or even just a very busy week at work). I just hope to hear back from him soon. I am not really worried about the cost of the DVDs I already sent. I am just really looking forward to adding this Saturday Morning Preview to my collection. I will keep you posted. Like I said, I am sure there is a perfectly understandable reason for the delay. i just wanted to see if anyone else had traded with him before. Thanks again Atlas. And remember, if you ever track down any other Saturday Morning Preview that is not on my list, I will gladly trade you or anyone else a ton of DVDs for it. :)

I have been taken twice on 2 trades that totaled over 200 DVDs. When they stop communicating, well, the chances of you getting anything without starting a bad trader thread is pretty small. IMO

A lot of times a bad trader thread will pressure them into finishing their end or coming to a solution some way. In my case it did not work in either case but we have all seen examples of the Bad Trader threads working.

Again best of luck. I can tell unlike me you have a lot of passion for your collection. That's good to have.

I know, but I hate to start a bad trader thread. I will give him some more time before doing that. Like I said, I know that unexpected events in peoples lives can pop up and take precedent. I will try to email him a couple more times and wait it out before saying he ripped me off. If he was going to do that, I doubt he would have contacted me after getting the items to let me know he was having trouble transferring the video. But thank you for the advice again. I still have my fingers crossed that the deal will go through though. :)
