Would the show have lasted longer? Would the show still been funny? What are your opinions?

if JJ had died then i don't think this show would've been as funnier as it was with him in it. i realised in the latter seasons, they turned him into a buffoon and made jimmy walker's character stupider perhaps, but even still good times wouldn't have been as good.

losing john amos as james was a blow and he did offer so much to good times, but in terms of light relief and humour, J.J was the man. and besides, seeing him and thelma continously argue with each other and mock one another wouldn't have happened so often.

The show would have been gone by the end of the season. I know that now it's popular to criticize the JJ character but he was really popular back in the 70's. It would have been like Fonzie leaving Happy Days.

The show would have been over because JJ was the show....IMO, however I thought it took a big hit when James died.

Because there were a lot of people who tuned in to see James not J.J. And Vice Versa
