Hi all,

Everything is in the title, tell us which season of the Golden Girls do you prefer ? Why ? Which season is the funniest according to you ?
If you can also say the season you like the less. Why ?
I am waiting for your reviews.
Personaly I think that a lot of people seems to enjoy the episodes from the seventh season and I do agree even though I still haven't all the episodes from this season !

Season 6 was the worst season. There were way too many episodes in the first half centering around Dorothy & Stan getting back together. Up until season 6, we viewers mostly see Dorothy complain about Stan. For me, Dorothy lost some credibility in those episodes.

As for the best season, since I started rewatching GG my mind keeps changing. I'm now leaning Season 1 as the best since it has the most good episodes. As this thread progresses, I'll expand on my thoughts more.

I don't think I could pick a favorite or least favorite season of The Golden Girls. With the exception of the first few episodes of season 1, the show seemed pretty consistant, so much that I never knew what season a certain episode was from, until the series was released on dvd.
I can see certain story arcs, like Dorothy & Stan's relationship or maybe Miles and the Cheeseman, influencing an opinion here though.

I like Season 3

seasons are best- no coincidence that's when it won the Emmy for best Comedy. :) Seasons 3 and 4 also were pretty strong. Things started declining in season 5- when Dorothy had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, you can see the difference in her attitude and all (not to mention that hairdo was way too long for her).

Seasons 6 and 7 had their moments, but things were getting stale by then. Not that they weren't enjoyable, though, cause they were.

Dorothy's hair got pretty long there for a while. She looked much better when it was short.

IMO seasons 1-4 were the best/strongest but I really can't pick which is my favorite yet. I have to think about it longer. But I do think season 6 it started getting old, like most shows do when they are a long running series. But season 6 and 7 were decent enough and had good/funny moments.

Season 1 was the absolute best. I still watch it the most, even though I own them all. Season 2-4 were great, but you could tell that in season 5 the show got new writers.

By season 7, it seemed things were picking back up. They got Marc Cherry and Mitchell Hurwitz, who both went on to great careers.

A few eps from seasons 5 and 6 were great, but for an overall season neither is my favorite.
