Has the clock struck midnight on Jen Aniston's movie career? Is it time for Ms. Aniston to consider a return trip to weekly scripted tv like her other 'Friends' pals have? No offense to the greek beauty, but her latest movie "The Switch" proved to be another disappointment at the box office. For whatever the reason, moviegoers just aren't connecting with Aniston as they have say Sandra Bullock or dare I say Angelina Jolie! Perhaps a return to a sitcom or maybe even a drama might be what she needs to reestablish her self as an actress. Opinions?

In a word, yes. Other than The Good Girl, she really hasn't had any decent movie roles. She hasn't even been in any particularly good films - including The Good Girl. Her performance was the only good thing about that movie. Even her time as Mrs. Brad Pitt didn't help make her a movie star.

She needs to give up the fluffy romantic comedy trash and try some dramas. I loved The Good Girl, and I wish she would take on more roles like that. She needs to take an indie role every now and then to show that she still has some credibility and acting chops left.

Some people are just destined to be tv stars. There's nothing wrong with that. If she didn't hit the big time with her movie roles by now, I doubt she ever will.

The sad part in her career is she has become more of a celebrity than an actual actress. People seem to care more for her romantic personal life then what she does on a movie screen. I am not saying it is her fault, just what it seems like from the general public.

That is why maybe she can try a drama, perhaps something on HBO or Showtime that can allow her to be more edgy.

That's right and look at Glenn Close. She's doing some great work on Damages. Hollywood used to look down at tv stars but I don't think that's the case anymore. I haven't seen Dustin Hoffman in a good movie since Wag the Dog so I'm looking forward to his new show. lol

She should also consider Howard Rollins, who took a gig on Another World not long after being nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Ragtime in the early 80s. A few years after his soap gig, he went on to his biggest success, the role of Virgil Tibbs on the primetime drama, In The Heat of The Night. So Jen should keep that in mind.

What a coincidence, Brian. I read this article today which had a decent analysis of Jennifer Aniston's career. The readers comments were interesting, basically saying she's a one-trick pony. I've seen her in a few dramas that I enjoyed. The Good Girl, Rock Star and Derailed come to mind. I think whoever is in charge of choosing her films has dropped the ball. Her agent, manager? She's got the looks and the talent for the big screen. In five years, she'll be playing the mother of teenagers, lol. Life is sure flying by.

Kellie Martin, who turns 35 in October, just played the mother of a 15-year-old boy (!!!!!) last month in the NBC TV movie The Jensen Project. Jennifer Aniston appears to be trading in her girl-next-door persona for a sexier model.

Though her rep has denied reports that Aniston will be doing a full-frontal nude scene in her next film, the former "Friends" star does appear to be embracing saucier scripts of late.

In Judd Apatow's upcoming "Wanderlust," she stars alongside Paul Rudd as one half of a happily married couple who decides to spend a brief sojourn living as hippies. According to HollywoodLife.com, that involves Aniston going topless, having a threesome with two women and smoking a joint or two.

This is Aniston's latest move towards sexier big screen roles. In June, her rep confirmed to People.com that she will embrace "aggressive sexuality" in her next film, "Horrible Bosses," co-starring Colin Farrell.

Amanda Sanders, a New York-based image consultant, says she thinks Aniston is making the right move in embracing her sexy side.

"She's always played those syrupy comedies and at this point she needs to do something dramatic," she told the Daily News, adding that her upcoming nudity will give her an edge.

Not to mention the fact that the 41-year-old star has a slammin' bod. This summer Aniston showed off her ripped abs in an ad for Smart Water and went topless to promote her new perfume, Lolavie.

Last year she famously appeared naked on the January issue of GQ in nothing but a tie.
