The Hollywood Reporter announced that The CW had decided to cancel the scripted comedy "18 to Life" after only three weeks due to low ratings.

The Tuesday, 9 p.m. slot it occupied will be taken over by "Life Unexpected".

Not much of a stretch for "Unexpected" fans since this will be the show's regular slot when it returns for a new season on September 14th.

Originally premiering on CBC Television in February of this year, "18 to Life" focused on a young couple who, on a dare, decide to get married right out of high school.

While 12 episodes were made, only 6 aired on The CW. The full run of the show continues to air Monday nights on the CBC.

its too bad, I really enjoyed the show and was looking forward to more

- i don't see how the cw can complain about low ratings for a summer show that they gave absolutely NO PROMOTION whatsoever, I mean did they even have a single promo for it at all?

Teens today must just not like comedy anymore. Everything teen related on TV today is drama. Sounds like the era of the teen sitcom is over. Kind of a sad day.

it wasn't really just a "teen sitcom" though - it was a show that anyone could enjoy, I think that all the CWcares about is the 13-21 year old girls demographic.
