"The Vampire Diaries" Gets a Season 2 Promo, and It Doesn't Suck

We've got good news and bad news for fans of "The Vampire Diaries".
The good news first: The CW has released a brand new promo for season 2 of the show.
The bad news: The 20-second clip is way too short, and does absolutely nothing to satiate our thirst for more blood-fueled drama.
Zap2It pointed our attention toward the new clip, which is kinda blurry and a little too fast-paced to make out much of what happens, but since beggars can't be choosers, we'll take it.
What we can see:
The first look at season 2 focuses on the violent, trouble-making antics of Katherine, who, as you'll recall, returned to Mystic Falls at the very end of the season 1 finale.
This is a new development in that all of season 1's events were based on the violent, trouble-making antics of other vampires who were trying to find Katherine. Now that she's back in town, the fun can really begin.
In the quick glimpses we did catch, we saw Katherine making out with Damon, Katherine fighting with Bonnie and Katherine trying to make up with Stefan.
All that's missing is a shot of Katherine and Elena finally meeting face-to-face and we'll be able to make it until the season 2 premiere on Sept. 9.
