seeing all these bad trader posts got me thinking about when i first started trading years back. i found this guy who posted his haves and wants,he had something i wanted and i had something he wanted so we set up a 3 tape trade. we agreed to mail out the same day. i went to the post office not knowing too much about mailing packages,i never heard of media mail. so after i paid more for the postage then i paid for the tapes,i went home pretty much feeling like some kind of tootsie pop. i quickly e-mailed him to tell him i mailed his out and waited for him to do the same. many days went by when i quit giving the mailman dirty looks thinking he was the culprit. i figured i was ripped off,so i sent him another e-mail asking if he got my package, still no reply. while i was surfing the message boards i noticed this one guy's name was all over the place under bad trader reports. one even gave his website so i clicked on it just out of curiosty and noticed he had a bunch of episodes to a show that the guy who ripped me off wanted real bad. a light came on in my head, i will play matchmaker. jesse james meet john dillinger, i figured they deserve each other. i e-mailed my trading friend and told him i found a guy who has those shows he was looking for, he e-mailed me back within the hour, he was overjoyed, called me a lifesaver. he didnt mention our trade, i didnt either, i didnt want him to get suspicious of what i was doing. my only concern was that he saw that guy under bad trader like i did. a couple of months went by and i heard nothing from him, then i saw a message he posted about a bad trader, he was squealing like a stuck pig how this guy ripped him off for 40 bucks. it worked, there is no honor among thieves. somehow i cant help feeling partly responsible for his misery. i never did get my tapes, but i had fun. tiredmike
