The interview was done earlier this year because Steven was talking about his A Dangerous Man movie and that movie came out in spring time or beginning of summer this year. I didn't know he didn't like Jean. I wonder why.

Yeah, them not liking each other goes back a while. They were aware of each other in the martial arts world before they both "made it big" in Hollywood.


Seagal did an appearance on "The Arsenio Hall Show" in 1991 to promote Out for Justice and he briefly addressed it.

Arsenio was asking Seagal about "the other guys" in the business and Van-Damme's name came up. Seagal wanted to quickly change the subject but he went on to say that he has heard from people in the martial arts community that Van Damme isn't a champion of anything.



He more or less believes that Van Damme isn't as great as he makes himself out to be and is not deserving of his recognition and success, at least during that time.
