I got upset about this when I read the press release (wish I could find it now to share with you) and I spoke with someone at Hallmark. I just wanted to express my unhappiness with the change. The lady I spoke to told me we'd all have to get used to it because Martha was here to stay.
I was also told they will now be known as Life Style channel but will not be changing the name of the network. I guess that is subject to change. They also said at some point they would like to move movies to the Hallmark movie channel. I have no idea what they have planned for evenings and weekends as far as programming.

I have no idea what they have planned for evenings and weekends as far as programming. They stated a while back that as long as the current programs they have now continue to do well, they will find a place for them this fall. If paid programming stays as it is now, they would have 8-10AM and 6PM-4AM for those shows.

Remember, the Martha programming from 1pm-4pm could probably be dropped if it doesn't work as it is just syndication. They dropped those shows back in April when they failed miserably.

The Martha Stewart agreement is likely as ironclad as it gets; Martha will be here to stay.

you know i like the hallmark channel but for whatever reason i really dont like most of the hallmark channel movies i just find most of them flat predictable and warmed over rehashes of stories that we have all seen elsewhere a thousand times before mo offense to anyone who likes the movies i guesss i just felt like venting my feelings about them
