View Full Version : Have you ever noticed... mskittyvixn 08-09-2010, 03:56 PM ... the girls are always pretty over-dressed for Miami weather? Except when they're dressed for banquets/balls? Dianne3 08-09-2010, 07:09 PM This is especially noticeable in the 4th season episode where Rose wins St. Olaf's Women of the Year Award. In the early part of the episode, the girls are complaining about the heat yet most of them are wearing long sleeves. At least Rose had shorts on. andress_jade 08-10-2010, 01:36 AM I noticed that quite often during the shows run. They lived in a tropical climate where it was hot 99% of the time, and yet you saw them wearing long sleeves, sweaters and pants. You never, ever catch me wearing long sleeves or a sweater in the summer, it gets stifling hot where I live and it would be ridiculous to be wearing long sleeves. I do wear jeans a lot in the summer and that's mainly because we aren't allowed to wear shorts where I work, any other time I wear skirts or shorts. That was a very noticeable continuity issue on the show, even Sophia sometimes wore sweaters on hot days. I can't believe the writers, creators and producers didn't say more about it during the shows run. When I watched, they just looked hot to me, and I would say to myself "Aren't they hot in the long sleeves and sweaters?" I sweat just thinking about it.  ggfan71 08-16-2010, 03:51 PM I noticed that alot and other people have spoke about it also. I live in NJ and you wouldn't even wear those outfits in the summer here. I think that it was most obvious when the air conditioned broke in one of the episodes and they all had on long sleeves and pants.:D :p ;) :happyface  Cabot_Cove 08-17-2010, 12:49 PM I'm sure Joan and Melissa Rivers commented on this during their Season 1 DVD fashion commentary. It's always struck me as rather odd. I've been on holiday to Florida several times and it was baking hot. Definitely not somewhere you would wear jumpers in summer...or probably at any time of year! |
