Court documents filed this week by a woman in North Carolina allege her husband had an affair with former "American Idol" champ Fantasia Barrino -- and that the two made a sex tape.


According to docs obtained by WCNC, Paula Cook filed for child support against her estranged husband Antwaun Cook last week and cited an alleged affair between Cook and Barrino. She claims the two met at a T-Mobile store and, beginning in August 2009, began their "covert adulterous affair."

Cook goes on to claim, "Throughout the course of their adulterous affair ... Defendant/Husband and Ms. Barrino have at times recorded their illicit activity."

Rumors of an affair between Barrino and Cook have been around for months -- and Barrino has always denied them.

Calls to Fantasia's management were not immediately returned.

"American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino is denying, via her manager, accusations that she is responsible for ending the marriage of a married man.





According to a CNN.com report, Paula Cook, of North Carolina, is alleging that Barrino engaged in a "covert adulterous affair" with her husband Antwaun, causing the pair to separate in June.

On Wednesday, Cook filed a petition for divorce in Mecklenburg County District Court and is seeking child custody, alimony and other monetary support.



In the court documents, Cook alleges that Barrino treated her husband, a T-Mobile store employee she met in August 2009, "to a lavish lifestyle makeover over the course of their affair."

Cook goes on to allege that the couple "at times recorded their illicit sexual activity."











Without specifically denying the affair, Barrino responded to the allegations for the first time on Monday.


"Fantasia is certain that she is not responsible for the deterioration of the Cook's marriage," Barrino's manager Brian Dickens said in a statement.

"Fantasia will weather this Storm with the dignity and grace that she has exemplified throughout a life in which she has repeatedly overcome obstacles and challenges."




The 26-year-old singer has been photographed with Cook, whose name she has tattooed on her upper left shoulder.

News of the possible affair began circulating in November.
