One of my main reasons for joining this site was to express my feelings about the third season episode known as "Samantha's Protest". As most of you know, in between then and now, I have posted messages about hundreds of other topics on many different pages. However, back then, what I really wanted to talk about was the secondary plot of that episode that had to do with Katie gettin her bubble bursted at the end. I thought that it was poetic justice at its best! Well, another thing that a lot of you might know is that, as a curtesy to me, another member of this community uploaded that episode onto "Youtube". I thought that was too good to be true! Mind you, this was before the entire season on DVD (which I have since obtained) was released or even considered as a possibility. Well, after I had bleed dry what I had to say to you guys, I joined the "Youtube" posting community in hopes of getting another audience. On all three segments of that episode, I have posted messages about how decent I thought that Julie behaved and how Katie truely got what she deserved in the end! Well, in the recent past, someone responded to a couple of these posts saying that he or she did not consider that situation a secondary plot. One thing that I would be interested is feedback from you guys is whether you think that it was. I would say that, given that it came up several times during the episode and was used for comic relief at the end, it can be considered a minor plot to the story. This poster also said that he or she did not think that anything Katie did was that bad. I strongly disagree with this point of view. In the first scene, we hear Julie saying "I cannot believe the height of your egotism! He was not whisteling at you he was calling his dog!" I thought that this was halarious! Later when Samantha is trying to get people to go to the protest with her, we hear Katie say that she would love to but that she has to do her nails! How shallow and superficial can one be? At the point in which Nell says to lock arms, Katie grabs both of the boys arms with both of hers. She then postions her body so that her crotch and her bosoms are leaning against his. This embarrasses the pantyhose off of sweet, repectable Julie! After grabbing one of Katie's arms and saying "like this Katie", she then turns towards Nell and says "that is absolutely disgusting"! In the end, we learn that Samantha got a date with the boy who Katie flurted her butt off with and Katie ended up giddy with no place to go! I think that this truely served Katie right for acting the way that she did!
