I believe it premieres tonight at 9:00PM EST. I saw a preview this morning. The show will profile real unsolved cases and utilize re-enactments and interviews with the parties involved. The story will be narrated by the victim, describing the events as they are believed to have occurred.

The first story deals with the strange drowning death of a college student whom the police believe committed suicide. His family believes he was murdered.

Although this is technically a Dateline spinoff, it sounds as though it will have many qualities reminiscent of old school UM.

I haven't actually watched network TV in a while, but thanks for posting about it--I'll have to catch that tonight.

I wonder if they will bring up the Smiley Face Killer theory (sorry, don't buy into it).

Glad to know I'm not alone.

I've got my DVR set but I doubt I will watch much of it. I don't really care for the Dateline programs. "48 Hours Hard Evidence" is my favorite.

I'm watching NBC...they're just calling this program "Dateline" but it is a true crime show. Chris Hansen is narrating...is this what you were talking about?

Right now we are watching Imus from this morning. I will watch it later. Dateline usually has true crime stories or something akin to those but I just don't care for the narration or presentations. Hopefully this will be an improvement.

Okay, I saw the actual show...about ten minutes in I couldn't stand the "dead person" narrating the story and changed the channel. Can't watch it.

I just watched it. it wasn't terrible. it was just okay. didn't really care for the actor who portrayed the victim or the narration. I would've prefered it without his narration. interestingly enough it brought up the Smiley Face serial killer gang theory.

Glad to know I'm not alone.

You don't think there is a national network of serial killers in almost every state teaming up to kill drunk college kids? It seems so likely.
