It's official.
You can now call Shaquille O'Neal "The Big Shamrock."
The Boston Celtics signed the 38-year-old center today, giving them some much-needed depth at center for when they face the Orlando Magic, the Miami Heat and the rest of the Eastern Conference.
Boston had one of the league's top front lines last season. But Kendrick Perkins blew out a knee during the NBA Finals, and Rasheed Wallace seems intent on retiring.
The Celtics signed 6-foot-11 Jermaine O'Neal earlier this offseason.
Shaq, of course, isn't the force he used to be, but he was effective last season for the Cleveland Cavaliers when he was healthy.
O'Neal appeared in 53 regular-season games, averaging 23.4 minutes per game.
He averaged 12.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Well, I'm sure he's not getting what he did in his heyday. He's pushing 40, and played hurt last season. But it's a lot more money than I'M making!! :(

lol, I was thinking "now THAT'S a photoshop opportunity!". But actually, I'm sure Shaq wouldn't mind putting on giant Leprechaun gear and having a few pics taken.
In fact, BOTH O'Neals could do that.
Wow, two O'Neals on the Celtics... and they're both black! What were the odds?
